Q) How far in advance do I need to book a wedding car?
A) The average lead time is 6 to 8 months.  Of course, in order not to be disappointed then as early as possible is recommended.  Short notice is also normally available as Vintage Dreams has a large fleet.

Q) How long is a wedding car hire for?
A) Four hours of attendance time is the standard service.  That is the time made available to you from the first departure from the collection address/s to the final location.  That is more than enough for most weddings.

Q) What if I need more time on my wedding car hire?
A) If you feel you need more time please enquire as only a modest additional hourly rate is charged

Q) What if I only need a wedding car hire for a very short time?
A) The hire rate is the same as for four hours of attendance time.  This is because mobilisation costs and overheads are the same for one hour as four.  Any car is only hired once a day, so it is exclusive to that hire.

Q) Can I hire a wedding car to do multiple trips?  For example, First collection of the groomsmen, then bridesmaids and then the bride?
A) Yes!  If timings and distances are practical, then multiple trips can be undertaken and at the same hire cost of a single trip.  The Vintage Dreams mantra is, ‘If you’ve got us, use us!’

Q) What will be included in my wedding car hire?
A) A beautifully presented car with; a chauffeur in unform and cap, bespoke made bows and ribbons, Just Married sign, champagne glasses, fresh filtered water, and wedding themed background music (if required).  Plus, every car carries large umbrellas and a briefcase packed with essentials to include a sewing kit, safety pins, wet wipes, tissues and first aid kit.

Q) Can I have my own ribbon and bows on my wedding car?
A) Of course you can.  Occasionally customers supply specially made bows and personalised ribbon.  However, included in the wedding car hire bows and ribbon will be supplied to your own colour theme.  Ask about the options available.

Q What if it is raining, will I need umbrellas for my wedding car hire?
A) All cars carry at least two wedding themed umbrellas for your convenience, one large golf style and one large heart shaped one (great for photos – NB: Juliette only carries the large umbrellas).  These are available for you to use but must be returned to the chauffeur.  If required the chauffeur can hold the umbrella you as they are there to assist you getting in and out of the cars and intio the venue/s. 

Q) What areas are covered by the wedding car hire?
A) In Essex all CO Postcodes, most CM postcodes and some SS postcodes.  In Suffolk most IP postcodes.  Also a few areas that are on the county borders coverage extends to some CB postcodes and South Norfolk.

Q) How much is the deposit for wedding car?
A) £125 per car

Q)  When is the balance due on wedding car hire?
A) Thirty (30) days before the hire date

Q) Can I pay for wedding car hire with a debit or credit card?
A) Yes, both by Mastercard or Visa.  You can also pay by bank transfer.

Q) Can we come and view the wedding cars?
A) Viewing of wedding cars is welcomed by appoiuntment.

Q) Where is Vintage Dreams wedding car hire business based?
A) Vintage Dreams is based on the Essex/Suffolk Border and the cars can be inspected at CO11 1UR.

Q) Is it recommended that we have Wedding Insurance Cover?
A) Absolutley.  It is an essential that many couples overlook.  The Wedding Insurance Group provides excellent cover.  Other providers are available.

Q) What time should the bride arrive at a church wedding?
A) Normally about five mintes before the ceremony which allows time to meet the vicar, a few photos and some deep breaths!  Then walking down the aisle just a little late but not so late as to cause panic!

Q) What time should the bride and groom arrive at a civil service wedding?
A) Check with the officiating Registrars but the rule of thumb is in time for the bride’s interview 15 minutes before the ceremony and the groom’s interview 30 minutes before the ceremony.

Q) Can we hire a car if our ceremony and reception are at the same place and we are preparing there?
A) This style of wedding is increasingly popular in the UK. While it might initially seem unnecessary to hire a car, it can still serve an important role. Traveling to the ceremony with the person “giving you away” is a cherished tradition you can maintain. The car can pick you up, take you for a brief drive, and then return for some stunning photos as you step out. It also doubles as an excellent photography prop after the ceremony. If time permits, you might even enjoy a newlywed drive, potentially stopping at another location for additional photographs.

Q) Can I postpone my wedding?
A) We will roll over your deposit and hold the price and terms for up to two years to allow you to re-plan.  If we don’t have an available car to your taste on the revised date, we will refund your deposit immediately

Q) Do you provide free champagne as part of the wedding car hire?
A) Unfortunately, neither we nor our chauffeurs are licensed to sell or serve alcohol. Providing alcohol, even as a complimentary service, would breach licensing laws. However, if you bring your own bottle, your chauffeur will be delighted to serve it to you.

Q) Are your cars commecially insured for weddings and do you have Public Liability Cover?
A) Yes to both!  We maintain a fully comprehensive fleet insurance policy with wedding cover and Public Liability cover.  Some venues ask to see this from supplers.  We will gladly send a copy upon request.
